Vela Luka ready for the 8th ‘Trace to the End’, all capacities filled; Đorđe from Belgrade: ‘I’ve been here for the sixth year’
In Vela Luka, everything is about Oliver Dragojević. Eight years after his death, the eighth edition of the event “Trace to the End” is being held, which will culminate today with a big concert on the Riva.
In addition to famous Croatian musical names, the concert will also feature young talents. Oliver’s voice has been echoing in the squares, streets and cafes of Vela Luka these days, and thousands of people have arrived to sing his songs together.
Numerous visitors on their way from the ferry port also stop by the Dragojević family house, where Oliver enjoyed staying with his family. His wife Vesna Dragojević admitted to HRT that she did not expect interest in the event to grow so much.
– I thought it would die down after three or four years, that there would be no interest. However, this year we expect a record number of visitors, she said.
According to her, two ferries, six catamarans and 17 buses arrive in Vela Luka. Visitors often take photos with her and her sons, and many come very emotional.
– People cry. They come and think as if he is here. I have patience, no problem. I can last three or four days, nothing will happen to me, said Vesna.
– It took me a month. Later I told him: “You should listen to your wife for some songs.” I am sorry that he did not sing some of them because they would certainly have been successful, she said.
Due to the event ‘Trag u beskraju’, all accommodation capacities are filled months in advance, and the tourist image of Vela Luka has significantly improved.

Vesna is also responsible for the fact that the song “Kad mi dođeš ti”, which Oliver initially did not accept, ended up on the album.
